Terms of Service
These terms govern use of GearsCheck, operated by The North Star Trucking Tech LLC ("we," "us"). By using GearsCheck as a facility, driver, or dispatcher, you agree to these terms.
1. What GearsCheck Is
GearsCheck is a dock/appointment check-in platform for trucking facilities. Facility staff schedule driver appointments and manage check-ins; drivers can self-check-in and receive SMS updates about their visit.
2. SMS Messaging
Providing a phone number on a GearsCheck form means you agree to receive SMS messages related to that visit — appointment confirmations, check-in links, and dock-status updates. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for support.
3. Acceptable Use
Don't use GearsCheck to submit false check-in information, harass other users, or send SMS content unrelated to a scheduled visit or check-in.
4. Scout (AI Assistant)
Scout is an AI assistant available to drivers while they wait. Its answers can occasionally be incomplete or wrong and should not be treated as legal, safety, or regulatory advice.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
GearsCheck is provided "as is." We don't guarantee that SMS messages will be delivered instantly or at all — carrier networks can delay or drop texts outside our control.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, The North Star Trucking Tech LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of GearsCheck, including missed appointments or delayed notifications.
7. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as the platform evolves. Continued use after a change means you accept the update.
